Army Institute of Management (abbreviated as AIMS and previously known as National Institute of Management, Calcutta) is a graduate B-School, situated in Kolkata, India. It was founded on 28 July, 1997 by the AWES (Army Welfare Education Society), New Delhi to conduct a management program for the wards of Army personnel (80%) with an opportunity for the general candidate (20%) as well. AIMK is an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Institute, accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). AIMK offers two years full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) course with dual specialization. The MBA course is approved by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University (Previously known as West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT)). Admission to MBA programme will be done through CAT (Common Admission Test) exam. Over the past eighteen years, AIMK has an excellent placement record.
